John Green’s soulful novel, ‘The Fault in Our Stars’ covers the situation of life, death, and love.  The story begins with Hazel Grace Lancaster, 16 years old girl surviving stage IV cancer. She is clinically depressed and to help her deal with it, her doctor sends her to join kids-with-cancer support group.

Hazel meets another cancer survivor Augustus Waters with whom she falls in love gradually. Facing the universal questions like ‘How will I be remembered’ and ‘Does my death have meaning?’ both of these protagonists move into a journey to discover what happened to the character of a cancer-related novel ‘An Imperial Affliction’. What they discovered after they met the author has a great significance.

One of the brilliant works of Shakespeare is a short tragedy. The story is based on a brave Scottish general named Macbeth. He receives prognosis from a trio witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. And hence being devoured by ambition as well as his wife urging him into the action, he murders King Duncan and rules the throne. Later he is psychologically affected resulting in committing more and more murders to protect himself from suspicion. In short, the consequence of war, throne, and bloodbath drives Macbeth and his wife to arrogance, madness and ultimately death.

  1. The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas

John Boyne’s The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas is a disturbing story about the 9 years old boy Bruno. By reading this novel you will move into a journey with Bruno who relocates from Berlin. His father was in charge of the prison camp Auschwitz and restricted Bruno to explore around the area. But one day Bruno manages to sneak around and meets a Jewish boy Samuel of the same age on the other side of the fence. Samuel and Bruno becomes friend and on the last day before Bruno leaves the out-with, decide to explore where Samuel lives.  So he changes into the pajama and crawls under the fence and begins to find Samuel’s father who hadn’t been seen for days. But unfortunately, they unknowingly march into the airtight building following other Jews.
